Best Scone

Phoenix (small pasta place and bakery on Shattuck by Party Sushi)

Carol, Susie and I had really good fresh pasta dishes, with complimentary white wine! :) Afterwards, we got some great pastries at the bakery on the other side of the restaurant. I had a strawberry and lemon scone that was the best scone I have ever had! It wasn't overly sweet, but the fresh strawberries baked in oozed out at just the right places and the lemon was an excellent compliment. Hopefully, we will still have a chance to try out the cute, yummy places around Berkeley now that you both are working ladies! Also, the Fudge cookies at the Phoenix bakery are really good-- somewhat of a mix between brownies and cookies.
